Welcome to the Gothenburg English Speaking Theatre (GEST).

GEST is an award winning English speaking theatre located in Gothenburg, Sweden and is the only professional English speaking theatre in western Sweden. We bring the very best of British drama in its original language to Sweden.

GEST is run by Artistic Director Kristina Brändén Whitaker and Associate Director Gary Whitaker. Actors are recruited in Britain before every production while a superb Swedish production team takes care of set and light design, music and administration.

After our 2011 productions This Wide Night and My Romantic History playing to sold out houses GEST will now return to Folkteatern to present our award winning version of Expectations.

The winner of the Edinburgh Fringe Review's Award for Outstanding Theatre returns to Gothenburg.

Expectations by GEST's very own Kristina Brändén Whitaker is the greatest success of GEST's history and this spring, in a rare collaboration with Folkteatern, it returns to Gothenburg.

Expectations will be performed at Folkteatern's White Stage and regular ticket sales will be handled by Folkteatern.
