GEST - The Gothenburg English Speaking Theatre - GEST teams

Kristina is an actress and GEST's Artistic Director.

Most recently she debuted as a playwright with GESTs previous production of Expectations, in whish she also played the role of Klara.

In GESTs previous productions she played Louise in After the end and the title role of Miss Julie in After Miss Julie.

Kristina is from Göteborg but spent 13 years in London where she trained as an actress at the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama.

Since graduating in 2000 she has worked as an actress in various London theatres. She has also worked in Television and film including Steven Spielberg's Band of Brothers, Peter Birro's award winning SVT drama Upp Till Kamp directed by Mikael Marcimain and SVTs award winning Sanningen om Marika directed by Martin Schimdt. She also played the female lead role in the film Ingen Ser Oss which premiered at The Göteborg Film Festival 2007. Kristina has just finished filming the international feature film As If I'm not There, directed by Juanita Wilson (StellaNova Film, Wideey Films and Sektor Film).

Gary Whitaker is an actor, director and the Associate Director of GEST.
Gary is playing the part of Charlie in GESTs forthcoming production of Stones in His Pockets. Gary directed 'Expectations' and 'The Collector'  and played the part of John in 'After Miss Julie', all for for GEST. He is from England and moved to Göteborg to be a part of the GEST production team.

His theatre credits include; leading roles in London's West End, Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal Court, Royal Exchange, West Yorkshire Playhouseand Out of Joint.

He has worked all over the world with highly respected writers and directors including Alan Ayckbourn, Max Stafford-Clark, Anan Tucker, Ian Brown and David Grindley.

His extensive TV and film credits include; The Red Riding Triology, The Gathering, Wire in the Blood, Vincent, Waterloo Road, Sunday, In Deep, Heartbeat, The Vice, Holby City and three series of The First of the Summer Wine for BBC.

Gary played the role of Lucas in Camilla Läckberg's Isprinsessan and can soon be seen in 183 Dagar, both for SVT.

Caroline Funnell is a casting director and former actor and is GEST's English agent/advisor.

After training at RADA she worked professionally for several years before becoming involved with production.

She was the London agent and casting director for the English Theatre Frankfurt and resident casting director for the New Victoria Theatre, Stoke.

Freelance credits include International tours of 'Kat & the Kings' and 'A Slice of Saturday Night', and several UK tours.

Regional credits include productions at Coventry, Clwyd, Ipswich, Exeter & Galway. Most recent work includes 'Casanova' Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith, 'Don Giovanni' New Vic, Stoke.

Film credits include 'The Mandrake Root', which will be premiered in Autumn 2008. Caroline is a member of the Casting Directors Guild of Great Britian.
