AFTER THE END
Performed 11 April 2008
at Folkteatern in Gothenburg
Gothenburg English Studio Theatre presents the Swedish premiere of After The End by Dennis Kelly.
After The End is written by one of England's finest contemporary playwrights and it was first presented by Paines Plough at the Traverse Theatre, Edinburugh on 5 August 2005 and subsequently at the Bush Theatre in London.
It is a tense, exciting tale of two young people trapped underground in a bomb shelter in London. They were all in the pub when the nuclear terrorist attack happened. Louise wakes up to find herself trapped with Mark who has saved her life. Mark is always prepared for the worst and has everything he thinks they will need to survive.
Now all they need to do is wait until it's safe to go outside. Can they survive the attack? Can they survive each other?
Dennis Kelly burst onto the scene with his brilliantly twisted debut Debris in 2003. Since then his work has been produced throughout Europe.
