THIS WIDE

NIGHT

Performed 12 April - 7 May 7 2011  Hagateatern in Gothenburg

GEST presents the Swedish premiere of This Wide Night by Chloë Moss.

A sentence doesn't end when you leave prison.

Having just begun to rebuild a life on the outside, Marie is confronted with her past when former cellmate Lorraine shows up unannounced at her doorstep. They used to share everything inside, but on the outside things seem different. The friendship that once protected them now threatens to smother the fragile freedom they have found.

This Wide Night is a witty and tender portrayal of two women trying to start again.

This Wide Night was inspired by Chloë Moss' work with female prisoners at HMP Cookham Wood.

This tender portrayal of friendship between two women was a huge success in its native England and it is with great joy that GEST is able to present its Swedish premiere.

"The Gothenburg English Speaking Theatre pass with flying colours with their play about two lost women outside the walls." Expressen (Click the link to read the full review in Swedish)

"British drama of the best kind." Göteborgs Posten
